 Today we learnt how to persuade people to come somewhere.So we made online post cards to learn how people persuade another person to come somewhere.Here is some ways people persuade people to come somewhere;

 1.Show them a nice picture of the place

2.Tell them good stuff about the place they are at

3.Leave out the bad stuff about the place

Fake photo

 This week we learned about cyber safety.We learned how to tell fake photos from real photos.You can tell by shadows,colors on the person that is not apart from the background or background if there is blur in the background.We also learned how to make fake photos.Here is a pic.

Does it look real pls tell me.Here is some steps to make a fake photo.

1.Choose a background

2.Take a picture of yourself

3.Remove.bg use this website to take away the background in the photo of yourself.

4.Put your photo into your background

5.Postion yourself into a place you like

6.Put a shdow on yourself in settings.

I recommend doing this on google drawing and if you so use explore to choose your background.There now you have a fake photo of your self for fun.Hope you have a fun time making one.Have a nice day.

 This week I made a tessellation out of paper.Here is a pic of my tessellation

To make it you will need,Tape,Scissors and Paper.

The wonderful art of tessellation.

 Today I learnt what tessellation is and the meaning of it.

The meaning of tessellation is, a arrangement of shapes closely fitted together. Polygons is  the best shape for a tessellation because they fit perfectly together.

learn to make the fantastic Tivaevae

To make a tivaevae you will need;

1.2 different colored paper

2. scissor 

3.glue stick

4.pen or pencil

1.cut both papers into a square.

2.fold the bottom to the top to create a rectangle.

3.fold the left to the right to form a mini square.

4.Now draw a line in the bottom left side corner like this side.                                      

5.Now you draw random looking shapes like this but try not to put to much shapes in the middle of the mini square because the shapes in the middle are hard to cut out.Here is a picture of how the shapes should look like.

 

6.Cut the shapes out and open up the mini square.

7.Now grab your other piece of paper and glue the paper that you cut shapes out of to the other paper.

now you are finished here is what it should look like

How to make mouth watering banana cake

 Today my blog is about how to make banana cake.I love banana cake even though I don't like bananas itself.I hope you have fun making the banana cake and eating it.

Ingredients;

1. 2-3 bananas

2. 70 grams of sugar 

3. 60 grams of butter

4. 2 eggs

5. 150 grams of flour

6. 1 teaspoon of baking powder

7. rectangular baking tray with high walls

8. baking paper

Instruction;

1. You put baking paper lined into the baking tray. 2.Get 60 grams of butter. 3.Then soften the butter in the microwave. 4.Once butter is soft put 70 grams of sugar into the bowl with the butter. 5.Stir the butter and the sugar until they are combined well. 6. Mash the bananas until they are mushy. 7. Put the bananas into the bowl that has the sugar and flour. 8. Crack both eggs into the bowl. 9. Stir the ingredients for about 1-2 mins. 10. Sift the flour with 1 teaspoon of baking powder added. 11. After you have added the flour and baking powder stir until it is not powdery and you can not see and powder anywhere in the bowl. 12. pour the mixture into the rectangular tray. 13. Heat the oven to 180 degrees. 14. Put the tray into the oven and leave it there to bake for 40 mins.

Ratios

 Today during lockdown my teacher gave me a task about ratios so I thought maybe I should write about ratios.

The amazing crane

 Hello readers I hope you are having a great lockdown and are staying safe from covid 19.Today I am going to show you how to make a origami crane and there will be a youtube link to see since I didn't have much space to fit the instructions and plus it would be hard telling the instructions without seeing how to make it.Here is a slide to tell you how to make the crane and my results.

Wat Adventurer

 Today we had to create a Wat Adventurer by using a website.I had a lot of fun designing the charecter. Here is a photo.

I chose that hair style because I like the look of it and it was the best hair style I could find.I chose black eyes because it looks nice with the black hair.I chose the jumper because it looks amazing and it has badges on it also there wasn't much choices.I put the necklace because I like the purple crystal and it just fits in perfectly to what he is wearing.I picked blue pants because it looks nice with black for me.I picked orange shoes because I like the colour red and orange is like red a bit.I hope you enjoyed reading my blog.Hope you have a nice day during lockdown with your family.Have a nice day.

Random Drawing

 Konichiwa readers today my teacher sent me tasks and one of them was about doing a random drawing.I clicked the button that took us to the site and we had selections.Here is a picture of the choices.

So first I was thinking of drawing a turtle but then I tried and it was to hard.Then  I decided to do a ghost and it did it first try.Then I started thinking of what action it should be doing.Here is a picture of the choices.

 Before I thought of doing a ghost I thought of a turtle in space.When I decided to do a ghost I thought of it eating toast and I did it.Here is a photo of my drawing.

Sorry if you can't see it well I tried my best to get the right lighting.First I drew the ghost then I drew the eyes and how it looked.After that I drew the arms then the toast.After that I drew the mouth and the crumbs.last of all I drew the toast that was bitten of and the crumbs go through the ghost because everything go's through ghosts except for other ghosts.I hope you enjoyed this blog and try doing something like this to.if you do draw something like this then send the picture in the comments.I want to see how well you try drawing.Hope everyone is having a great time at home during lockdown. How I feel about lockdown

 Konichiwa readers today I am talking about lockdown.Yesterday the teachers said we were going to have pj day on Wednesday that is today.I was so disappointed to hear we were going into lockdown because I had taekwondo last night and I couldn't go.Today I woke up at 8:00am then I thought I was going to school the I remembered that New Zealand was in lockown..I wish covid 19 never happened.It has disturbed the whole world.Everyday since the last lockdown I was wondering when lockdown was coming again and what did I find out it was today.I wonder how covid 19 was created and why.I hate lockdown because I can't see my friends in person and I get bored time to time.I hope everyone is staying safe at home and are having a great time.Thank you for reading my blog and have a nice day.

Scratch

 Today I learn't how to make characters fly in scratch.I learn't how to do this by watching a tutorial on scratch.If you don't know what scratch is,don't worry I will tell you.Scratch is a website that all ages can code to make games,quiz's,animation and a lot more.I suggest playing scratch because it is a amazing website.Here is a link to my flying cat game.It is still in progress so keep checking daily to see any new features to the game.I made the game by first choosing the characters,then started coding the things that fly by.After that I made the cat move able.  Today I while I was reading I learnt what the word signature dish means.Signature dish means a dish only the chef alone knows how to make.A signature dish also means if someone else tries to make someone else's dish it won't look the same,taste the same,smell the same and it won't be the same texture.The book a read to learn this was called Pasta Disaster!The book is about a kid going to a cooking show and trying to make a signature dish.At the end he is able to be in the show because his signature dish is his own signature.I really enjoyed reading the book.

I hope I can cook like those kids on tv.

Painting

 Today I learnt a amazing kind of art.To do the art I learn't you must buy expensive painters tape.Then you get a piece of shiny paper and you stick the tape onto the paper any way you like.After you come up with a design that you like then you start painting on the paper dark nice colours in any way you like.After that you wait for the paint to dry.Then when it is dry you take off the tape and your art is finished.When I tried doing the art I used cheap tape and stuck it onto paper.When I finished doing my art I took off the tape and the paper didn't rip that bad it just ripped a layer of paper.It didn't look so great.Here is a picture.

It looks horrible.If you think it looks good well I just repainted the ripped parts.I learn't 2 things today.1.Cheap painters tape sucks for this art.2.Profissanial tape is amazing.Also shiny paper will still rip but not that much but I suggest using a canvas.If you try do this well I hope your art is better than mine.

Swimming at the school pool

 In the afternoon we did some swimming class's at the school pool.We got split up into different lanes.Lane 1 is the beginners,lane 2 is normal and lane 3 is advanced. We first practised our floating by doing the starfish.The starfish is when you lye on your back in the water and spread you arms and legs into a star shape.I found doing the starfish was a bit boring and easy.Then we practised our crocodile grip.The crocodile grip is when you grab onto your board and extend your arms out and hold on as tight onto the board as you can.Before we went swimming while doing the crocodile grip they had to pull our boards to see if we were holding on tight or not.We had to swim from one end of the pool to the other end.I felt quite refreshed after that swim and I felt ready for the next.Next we had to hug our boards and swim to to the other end of the pool.I felt so excited to do my favourite swimming style.Right after we finished that lesson we had to go back to class.I felt extra refreshed after that swimming class.I said to myself I can't wait for the next swimming lesson.

 

Fale House Points W1 T3

 Today we had to make a graph about the fale house points.Here is a picture of the fale house points

My graph is based of this picture.As you can see the points reset because it is a new term.So we start fresh.

As you can see:

Kauri is 1st

Totara is 2nd

Rata is 3rd

Kowhai is 4th

From this graph I can see that:

1.Kauri has the most amount of points 

2.Totara is 10 points ahead of Rata

3.Kauri is 59 points ahead of Kowhai

4.Rata is 14 points ahead of Kowhai

5.Totara is 35 points behind Kauri

In conclusion I think that Coffee can become 3rd with a bit of luck,hard work and lot of effort they.I really like the fale houses and it is very exciting guessing who might win.I think this is a very good idea doing this because it is very fun and competitive.

Matariki star project

 

Double women row scull finals

 Today we watched the double women row scull finals 1500m and New Zealand was in it.When the race started I so all the teams Blast off from the starting line.After they blasted off they were all in the same position until Canada did a little boost and became 1st place then  team went behind Canada.After about a minute we became 3rd and all the teams were falling into positions.Half way through the race anthor team came in front of us and then after that a few more another came in front of us then before anyone knew it we were last place.Right after that happened I was scared we wouldn't get the gold medal and we would stay in last place.3/4 into the race I started to think we might actually win the race.Then right after I thought that we might get the gold medal we became 2nd place.Right at the end of the race we overtook Canada and became 1st place and won the gold medal.I was so happy that we won that I shouted as loud as I could in my mind because I wanted to see the part when they get there medal.At the end I was glad.Hope you enjoyed reading this. 

Simplifying Fractions

 Today we were learning how to simplify fractions.The first thing I did to simplify a fraction was by finding a number that goes evenly between both the numbers.The numerator is the number at the top and the denominator is the number at the bottom.

I got the 4 by dividing 12 by 3 and i got the 5 by dividing 15 by 3.12/15=4/5.Here is a picture of my work.

Fale house points week 9

We made a graph based on the picture below.Each group has points and we made a graph about which group has the highest points.The graph and picture is from last weeks total score.

Here is the graph based on the picture.

From this graph I can see that:

1.Kowhai and Totara have the closest amount of points.

2.Rata's is the colour red.

3.Totara is the closet to Rata.

4.Kauri has under 3400 points.

I think its possible for Kauri to Rata but i think it is unlikely. Kauri will need 200 points a day to catch up normally teams earn 60 points a day.

Spreadsheets-Analysis of Completed Tasks for Monday 28 June

The reliever didn't come and Mrs Corbett was sick.Then another teacher came in and told us to split up.We all had to go to different class's for the rest of the day.Mrs Corbett emailed us the tasks on our chrome books for the rest of the day.Here is a graph of the tasks our class finished.

In this graph i can see there are a total of 22.I got this by adding up all the students.Here is how i got the answer 1+6=7   7+6=13  13+7=20  20+2=22. 

Green 1 student,Yellow 6 student,Red 7 student,Blue 6 student,Orange 2 student.

1 student completed 0 tasks,6 students completed 1 task,7 students completed 2 tasks,6 students completed 3 tasks and only 2 students completed all of the tasks.I feel good on how i did my work.I can do my work faster by not looking through windows when i am working.

Complex Animation

Today we made a complex animation.I started of with the character then the background because it is the main part of animations.After i did the main things then i did a brainstorm on what should happen.Then i just put my ideas in goggle slide and took a video then i was done.This animation has 470 slides but is 30 seconds in the video.Hope you got some inspiration to make your on.Hope you enjoyed the animation.

Digital Animation

Today we learnt how to make a stick man animation.Here is a video of my stick man animation. 

 To do this I made a drawing of a stick man on a goggle drawing.Then we pasted the stick man onto a slide on kept changing the position of the body parts to make it look real.After that i just kept making more slides and change the positions of the body part positions and the place were the person is in until i finished.Last of all a took a video and i was done.Hope you liked the video if you watched it.Have a nice day.

Fractions Immersion Day 2

Today we made combinations of fractions that were bigger then a half but smaller then a whole.I made a  For the first one i did was 1/3 +1/3+1/8+1/10.For the second one i did 1/2+ 1/5+1/5.For the third I did 1/12+1/10+1/12+1/12+1/10+1/12+1/10+1/12+1/12+1/10.last of all i did 1/12+1/10+1/8+1/6+1/5+1/4.

Fractions Immersion Week

Today we started fractions immersion.We tried to make one whole using fraction blocks.We made different combinations here is what i made.

For the first row i did 1/3+1/3+1/4+1/12.

For the second row is 1/3+1/8+1/8+1/8+1/8+1/12+1/12.

The third row is 1/5+1/5+1/6+1/8+1/8+1/10+1/12.

The forth is 1/3+1/4+1/4+1/6.
